We Are Not the Enemy

We (Mark Wallace and Deborah Johnson-federal retirees) are releasing our second effort to improve the conversation about the federal government in general and the federal workforce specifically.

This is our humble attempt at changing the conversation from negative to positive about U.S. civil service.  Mark and I stand together on our belief that our careers in the federal government was honorable.  We want to help those who remain in civil service to feel their work is appreciated and also honorable.  We want to encourage young people looking for a career in which they can contribute to society to select federal service.  This is a tough job but we will not give up any time soon.

We ask that you take a stand and support federal workers even when its unpopular.  Pass the word.

Here’s the preview on the cover of our book.  We officially release at the end of this month at the American Library Association’s Mid-Winter Meetings in Chicago.
